Scribe For Thursday September 15th

Scribe for September 15, 2011

We first listened to announcements.

Our homework is to finish out SAT exercises (study the words, spell the word, definition, and parts of speech), we have a test on them tomorrow and a Macbeth test tomorrow over act two.  You need to type you introduction paragraph and your first body paragraph in MLA format (look below) and we need to have the outline of our second body paragraph.  Bring in colorful pictures of spam, yes I am talking about the canned meat.

MLA Format- Your heading should be in the top left corner of the paper and should have your name, then class, your teacher, then date the document is due.  You also need a title above the essay, and it does not have to be underlined.  In the essay you need to indent every paragraph and you must only press enter once after every paragraph, not twice.  So there should not be a space between paragraphs.  Here is an example for a paper that is due on September 15th.

Then we all discussed the blog that we had to post last night.  And concluded that lady Macbeth was kind of in charge of Macbeth’s actions.

Mrs. Smith then switched to the other side of the room to talk about the posters with the words “Hand, Night, Sleep, Man, and Blood”.  We discussed our conclusions that we put on the posters.

Things to look over for Macbeth test: Important quotes, characters and just overall understand the story just like last week.

Then Mrs. Smith taught us how to share documents on Google docs in order to peer edit your comparison essay.

After all of that we just had a work day.  We worked on our comparison essay the rest of the day.

Here is the homework again.
