Smith, Period 5
Mondays… The class slowly walks into Mrs. Smith’s classroom, fully satisfied with food, grabbing our laptops, and sitting in our chairs as Mrs. Smith steps into the classroom.
"Alright Class, lets not make this another stressful day like last Thursday!"
As we copy the homework down in our planners, people are stirring around the room making sure we have our intro, first paragraph, and second body outline ready to go! As we finish talking about our homework (which I have written at the bottom of the screen) we take our homework out, stand up, and turn the music on to play musical chairs “grading style!” We dance around the room, have a fun time, and grade our peer’s papers! Sounds like some pretty fun grading to me! After we have graded the intro, first body paragraph, and second body outline we adjust into serious-Macbeth mode, and assign parts to read Macbeth act 3, scene 1. “It is concluded. Banquo, thy soul’s flight, if it find heaven, must find it out tonight” (Shakespeare 3.1.141-142). Macbeth is talking about how Banquo will be murdered tonight, and if Banquo will go to heaven or to hell. If you haven’t yet read Act 3, Scene 1, it is about how Macbeth has hired to barbarous murders to kill Banquo and his son Fleance so that Macbeth will be in line for the throne and not Banquo’s family. If you weren’t paying attention, or you were not here, I recommend you read it because it seems like it will be very important!
I hope you have had a great Monday! Remember this week is Homecoming Spirit Week!
