  2. Shannon,
Great job with putting the audience in the intro. I can see your passion in the story. Everyone can connect to your story because we all had dreams when we were kids, but society has changed our view (I wanted to be a soccer star). Nice use of STORY and questions. AWESOME JOB!

  5. Good views! I see this slightly comparing to Sir Ken Robinson's TED Talk, because we grow out of our creativity and our childhood. I also did enjoy the pictures in the background- they each told a story of their own. Very nice!

  6. Great Speech Shannon! I like the personal part in your speech. Growing up is much better than being a grown up.

  7. This is a great topic. I think many of us in this class receive so much pressure from their parents and from themselves to prepare for the future. Just think of scheduling. We are told this is how many credits you need to graduate so plan accordingly. We think that if we have all A's we are successful. Yes that is great, but I think true success comes from being happy first and releasing some pressure. As a kid we are care-free, but as grow older that disappears and all we can think about is the future and not the present. Awesome job!

  9. That was really amazing! The teens of today have so much pressure put in them and that really needs to change! Thank you for sharing your thoughts!

  10. Shannon - What an amazing presentation! You seemed so comfortable with the audience, and your idea is so true. Thanks for showing us that we need to grow up slower, and while it may be to late for us, with your idea, we can guide the next generation. - Grant

  11. Shannon, I loved your topic. Great job! I definitely suffer from focusing too much on my grades and where it will get me in life. Thank you for bringing this up, because as honors students we tend to focus too much on school. And you are right, grades are only temporary. Great job, I loved it.
