I found the way that you elaborated on this somewhat controversial subject very fitting. You were able to verify what you were saying, as well, due to your uncle's experience.
A lot of the facts are very interesting. I didn't know a lot of them and it made an impression on me. You definitely made it more interesting then a standard "don't drink, don't do drugs" speech.
I thought it was really cool how you used personal story to realte to your topic. It added so much more because it showed that yes, this can happen to anyone.
Emily, Your presentation was great. What you told us took a lot of courage and it really added to the value of your talk. It was really an inspiring talk
The topic has been talked about a lot, but it was a more unique way to present it. Also good job not shying away from your history and talking about it.
Emily H- I have strayed away from these things because I have replaced urges like peer pressure into striving for sports. Still is a great topic because you used a recursive story throughout the talk.
The story you told was very heartfelt. I will never drink alcohol! Just kidding, but I won't drink until 21 or later. I can see the problems with drinking, and I really liked your talk.
You really had a powerful message. I also have an uncle who is an alcoholic and alcohol also ended up landing him in jail and with a divorce. I personally know how mad he is that he did it and it will never go away.
Emily, I think your message was very powerful and I am so glad that you talked about what you did. In our society today I think all of us feel this pressure to be cool as you were talking about and are offered things that could ruin our lives. I really like the personal story about your uncle and it made your speech very powerful. Great job!
That was a great talk1 I agree with everything you said and I though you presented your speech really well.
